one green bottle

This rocks pretty hard:

If anyone at Grolsch wants to swap some green bottles of their wonderful beer for something, please let me know...

And this doesn't rock very hard:
I'm sorry to say that yes, another early 90s fluoro techno radio anthem cum hockey faceoff song rumor has come true.

Town of Kipling Follows "Red Paperclip" Phenomenon With a First in Film Industry

KIPLING, SASKATCHEWAN--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 2, 2006) - The small Saskatchewan town that made it big by trading a house for a movie role with Kyle MacDonald, has formed a film financing company that will see its first project entitled "3 Day Test" begin production in February 2007.

The film, written, and directed by Corbin Bernsen (L.A. Law, Major League) will be produced by Bernsen's Public Media Works and Saskatchewan-based production company Angel Entertainment. The locally formed company, Kipling Film Productions will provide the funding.

According to the town's mayor, the partnership is believed to be unprecedented in the industry. "This is thought to be a first in film, to have a community that works together to fund a (film) production," says Mayor Kevin Hassler. "The film project is a huge opportunity to diversify to economic makeup of our community."

Glenn Kuhn, who also sits on Kipling town council, chaired the steering committee to help get the project going.

"Right from the start we had a tremendous volunteer response from the community toward forming the company and raising the capital. As a town we want to do something about our future," says Kuhn.

Not only will "3 Day Test" be shot on location in Kipling using the local hockey arena as a soundstage, a considerable amount of local talent will also be a part of the cast. An open casting call for Public Media Works in September of this year garnered several aspiring actors who will receive roles in the film, according to Bernsen.

Mayor Hassler adds that mixing progressive ideas with small town values will make this and hopefully other film projects in Kipling a success. "The film industry is growing in this province and we have the unique opportunity of bringing that growth to our community. We will be different from other films, different enough that people will be intrigued and drawn to the end product."
