Interesting

Just reading the news today. Came across something pretty interesting. Some press-stopping news about a cat being let out of a bag. Huh. Do you think their source is reliable?

If that isn't working the great North American dream to its fullest I don't know what is. Way to go...what's next, a trade up for the White House?

Anonymous said...

Nice house, but I have one question. Did you find, buy, or get the clip as a gift?

Anonymous said...

I applaud the lesson in how 'we' value things. I also applaud the fact that you marketed your writing career so well, and got a house to boot! Now that's creative. I'm curious as to how much money you have invested in creating this story(oh, and does Dom get a place to live too? or just the career boost?...you went to great efforts to document and organize the process and you are obviously a talented writer. Good job. I look forward to the book and the movie.

Well, Whatever....I think it is terrific! And I CONGRATULATE YOU!

Anonymous said...

You're signing tomorrow... I've read your story from the beginning and I am so excited for you. It's not just about the clip, and the potential Kyle (and Dom), it's about the kind of hope that you give people who have nothing, and by example show them that they can turn that into Anything! The fact that your partner Dom, has backed your antics and had faith with you from the start, also gives a whole other kind of spin to the aforementioned concept of "hope". Anything is Possible.... and "Thank You."

Anonymous said...

Congrats Kyle. Your story is amazing. Enjoy your house.

With the Canadian exchange rate you probably could have sold the red paper clip off the bat, and paid for it with the money you made from it.

Dear Kyle and bloggers,
I'm wondering what you'll be trading next... I know I'd love to trade a week or month in the life - ie, swap lives with someone for an entire week or month. no wait, it's been done, it's called Wife-swap or something like that. Still if there's any wealthy people out there who can afford airfare for my husband and I and want to trade houses with us, we'll come live at your house and you can live at ours for an agreed amount of time :D No? Darn.. Thought I'd try and see. By the way, the one red paperclip story ended up on our Australian TV channel on the 1 year anniversary. So that was kinda cool.

Meg Follett
(Princess Sniffer-Bunny)

P.S. if anyone is crazy enough to want to trade for the cost of our Air Fare to Canada or America, let us know (meganfollett@gmail.com)

And that is the secret to your success, along with the fact that you are a warm, loving, open-hearted person with great faith, who has done a lot already for the whole world and who definitely has a great future ahead.

Hi Kyle-

I just got back from two weeks in Alaska and saw your great news on tv there. I'm probably your mom's age, but always enjoy watching a real entrepreneur work and have been following since last year. Made my husband nuts by giving him constant updates.

I didn't think the snow globe was a good move, but obviously you have better instincts about this stuff than I do.

Enjoy the new space.

Fantastic to hear that you ended up with a house, but I was just wondering whatever happened to that house from the movie "The Castle" that you wanted to eventually end up with?

Are you going to keep going till you get it, or has it already been sold and the new owners don't want to trade? Maybe it could be kind of a 'Sea Change' deal, where they move to Canada, and you get the house?

Anyway, I was just wondering that, after seeing the segment on "60 Minutes" here in Aus, and comparing the story to the one on "Beyond Tomorrow" which had the bit about the house in "The Castle".

Happy trading.
