Blue and White Garage - Dan Burke visits and gets some socks

Dan Burke is an infamous/legendary promoter originally from Montreal who's been busting things up down in Toronto for years.  He's back in town to promote Pop Montreal's NexT showcase at L'Aubrevoir TONIGHT Sept 30.  One of the bands is Turbogeist fronted by Mick Jagger's son, Jimmy Jagger.  If any bands playing at POP Montreal want to appear on The Blue and White Garage, please get in touch with Kyle at oneredpaperclip@gmail.com or 514-833-3980.  We have a distinctive lack of sound gear and garage space, but I can hook you up with matching pairs of black socks!

My fifth time at an open mic

I won't lie to ya. Wasn't feeling funny this night.  But I'd signed up for an open mic set at ComedyWorks in Montreal.  Wanted to deliver on my promise to try to provide laughs. Awesome awkward silence after my cheer/laugh thing at the beginning.  Woops!  Three week gap between this time and the last time.  Gotta practice more to stay sharp.  Some good ideas in there I think.  Need to flesh 'em out.  Thanks to Jo from TuJoHaHa for taping this!

Thanks to everyone who came to the "Who Are These Guys?" Slideshow

WATG at AGOG Sept 14, 2010

Fun times at AGOG in Vancouver the other night! But, we still don't know who these guys are. I'm headed back to Montreal and will announce the Montreal "Who Are These Guys?" Slideshow date soon. I intend to improve and expand the show from its current 30 minutes as more leads develop on the hunt.

If you want the "Who Are These Guys?" slideshow to visit your town, please give me a shout at oneredpaperclip@gmail.com

The "Who Are These Guys?" Slideshow hits Vancouver Sept 14 !

Who Are These Guys?

That's the question we've been asking for almost 8 years.  And yet, after countless hours of doing very little to discover their true identity, we still don't know who they are.  Will you be in Vancouver on Tuesday Sept 14 and have nothing better to do at 8pm than watch a slideshow in a warehouse? Perfect! Then come check out the WATG slideshow at AGOG.

SHOW DETAILS:
Tuesday Sept 14
8pm
AGOG

AGOG is located at 124 WEST 6th Ave in Vancouver BC. (between Manitoba and Columbia) It should run for an hour or so.  Maybe we'll even have an intermission!

Facebook event page:

Since AGOG is a family-owned locally-picked organic carbon-neutral hybrid venue that features the latest in holistic architecture and I just got back from India with long hair being kempt merely by a red headband,  admi$$ion to this event will be free, or by donation, or you can pay whatever you like.  I'm just trying to adhere to the flake stereotype.  If anyone has a hat to pass around, please bring it.  AGOG is a warehouse, so: BYOsuds, BYObuds, BYOwine, BYOhardliquor, BYOchair, BYOself.

Want to host a "Who Are These Guys?" presentation in your town?  I'll go anywhere with this slideshow and offer reasonable performance rates.  Give my my slideshow comedy agent up at oneredpaperclip@gmail.com

Hopefully see you there Tuesday!
