Wow. I'm 13 years old and I JUST read your book. Until my friend told me to read your book, I had sadly never heard of you. I think that your acheivement is definately something to admire. I read One Red Paperclip in 3 days and I think it's a good motivational.... thingy.... for everyone!

I just felt like posting to give you a big thumbs up, I have never read a book so entertaining yet packed with life lessons. It's a shame I can't make an offer on your house, the best thing I own is my pencil holder shaped like an elephant....
I hope that you get something bigger and better for your house. Best of luck :)

i read your book in german and it was awesome. its a great idea and i wondered why i haven't heard of it before. now i'd like to play bigger and better in germany but i think everyone here would say i'm touched in the head. well i think it was nice to have your house but i'm only 14 years old and i dont have a fair offer for it. i have much stuff like yearbooks of my school, photos and postcards or a george michael-cd, but i dont think that anyone could use these things. but maybe you are interested a date with a nice guy from my school?? sadly i cant give you my house because i live here with my cat, my parents and my two brothers and your house seems to be a bit too small.
i hope someone can give you something really bigger and better for the house. maybe a house on an island. i wish u good luck!

Wow. This site EXISTS. You're STILL DOING IT. xO

Wow.

This is like some kind of weird destiny thing for me. My boyfriend and I were in an Oxfam charity shop in a nearby town last Friday and in it he found a guitar priced at £19.99 (about $40USD) with three strings and broken pickups. He bought it, fixed it, and it sings like a bird.

I went to the book section, as usual, and there was One Red Paperclip. I read the blurb and thought "oooh, what a clever, original idea for a novel!", thinking it to be fiction.

I got home and everyone in my family was like "Oh! That guy! Yeah! Cool!" I was like, "Is this for real??" and started reading. I'm just in the middle of the chapter where you get the house.

To make anything in this comment make sense, I have to explain that my boyfriend is forever finding nothings and turning them into somethings. Such as he did with the guitar (it's a Jim Deacon by the way. Not a Gibson but a dang good copy). Just like you did.

And now I'm looking at my life and thinking, "What am I going to run with?"

You guys are so awesome. Seriously.

I wish I could offer you a trade... but, I live in Scotland, with no Visa and pretty much no money, trying to save up for college with a million ambitions that never worked out because I didn't think it was possible.

Now I see that ANYTHING is possible.

Especially if you happen to own one red paperclip.

I was nothing short of amazed when I found out about the red paperclip campaign. Imagine that! Now, if only I could find a way to trade repair estimates for gas - a lifetime supply of unleaded, at that! Lol.
