Guinness

So awhile back I was in a book store and I decided to leaf through the Guinness Book of World Records, as you do, and came across a fun little fact:

I am now the holder of a world record.

Yep, the Most Successful Internet Trade. A category I never knew existed, and I'm quite certain, never did. That's right, a brand new category. So I win by default. Which is still pretty cool. Let's get serious for a second here, it's not like trading red paperclips for houses is as established of a pastime as eating airplanes or growing cabbages.

I wonder if I'll get a certificate or a blue ribbon for this record. Maybe there'll even be a trophy! Imagine what that might look like.

Wow, I actually just noticed the Guinness Record Book has GLOW-IN-THE-DARK features! I have no idea what that means, but if it means an easier time reading about wonderful and amazing world records, in the dark, then I'm all about it. K, gotta go now. Gonna read the book. In the dark.

Have fun,

Kyle

Hi, what a good news for you. I am starting same story in Hong Kong today. I don't know what can I get at the end (one year later). But I want to try. Thanks for your great idea. David

Glow in the dark?!

They must be running out of ideas. That's why they put your record in there too :)

Just joking - actually, anything that promotes the color red is fine by me. I wonder if you would have succeeded if you had started with, say, a BLUE paperclip... Weird thought, huh...!?

Hey Kyle, I'm reading your book at the moment. It's hilarious, I'm loving every page, probably will be done tomorrow. I'm sorry to say that I didn't follow the story during the actual game of "bigger and better", I'm not much of a TV watcher, but so glad I came across your book at my local Chapters. We used to play "Bigger and Better" as kids too, though the best we ever got was an old smelly refrigerator. Congratulations on the house, and more exciting than that is just having a really great story to tell, AND a world record.

Picked up your book, and couldn't set it down. Quite the amazing story you have there. I'm so extremely jealous you got to meet Alice Cooper, he's an amazing person, and so are you.

Live a good, long live, and enjoy any more barters which you may make.

Hey congrats...by the way, i have a question. How do u get a post to stay at the top of your page instead of getting moved down by the other posts.

All records need to be broken! And I can't imagine a more fun record to break. You proved it could be done with a red paperclip, so I figure I am going to try it with a yellow golf pencil. yellowgolfpencil.blogspot.com

Hi, Kyle!

I know your story for a while. I write an ebook about "proofs that millions can be made online"...

I was thinking if you're a good example for my ebook, but now if Guiness Book mentioned you for "the most successful internet trade", you will apear also in my ebook.

Good luck and...NEVER STOP!
