I don't own many 'things' as I'm alittle low on the materialist scale (33rd birthday tomorrow and neverowned a car), but I do have some stock in a little company that's gotthe hottest gift item this year - are you interested in trading thetrip for a small chunk of Apple Computer Inc. ? say, a dozen shares -valued at about $1,000 today... not bad for a red paperclip. ;) Andcertainly liquid. You could sell it and buy iPods, or whatever. Orhold out for a month and see if it'll double again. I'll even includein a 1st generation iPod, purchased in Oct. 2001, 3 days after theiPod was announced. Kevin Kevin, I can't believe you're only the second person to offer an ipod yet in all of the offers - I think. I'd love to do a full-on investment analysis on the project. Take the motel offer!

Anonymous said...

I would definetly take the motel offer for 60 nights. you could offer off some nights seperately to help you reach your goal sooner. Cranbrook is an easy sell. Nice golfing, beautiful scenery. It's a no brainer to me to take the motel offer.

Wow... this is the ultimate game of "bigger and better." I started out with a pencil once, and in an hour traded up to a live goat.

You never know...

1984 Evinrude 70HP outboard
Bimini Top
Seating for 6

Dual 6 gallon gas tanks

I think you should take the 60 nights stay and offer them in increments of 3 or 4 days in exchange for something that is more valuable as a set or something that gains value with a higher quantity. I can't think of any examples of hand however.

Jenny said...

I'd go for the 60 nights, then the 10 night trade for the white water trip.....but then again, trading smaller night packages then putting together a HUGE trade bonanza sounds like amazing funtential!!

Anonymous said...

This is one of the most fun things I've seen anyone do! You must be having a blast.

This is an easy one! Take the 60 nights and trade them off in 10 day packages, starting with the white water trip! That would give you a huge boost!

DUDE, do the boat or the car, and maybe the pig farmers will toss in a pig too. you could say, a car loaded full of canadian bacon. Or do the Apple share thing, but trading that would involve different work wouldnt it?
good luck. sam sam_102_@hotmail.com

I really would like to trade but I don't think I could give you anything 'bigger or better' than a trip to Yahk. Maybe if you didn't go by economic value, but I wouldn't if I were you either.. oh well -- I'll just wait for the next guy to come along and catch him early

Hey Kyle,

Some friends turned me on to your site. Here is my offer.
I will trade the trip (or something else) for a company.
Well actually the software, code, copyrights, and referrals for tour planner software. It is used by schools or charities or fundraisers who need to track lists of people, costs of trips/projects, assign participation vales to funds generated and assign cost per person and funds raised per person.
Works on PC and Mac.

It is listed for trade at:
https://www.barterworld.com/listings/details/index.cfm?itemnum=31592

Would be a great company for someone ambitious enough to sell it.

I think South Carolina would be a neat trade... and it would take you to another world... I mean, practically.

Tomas L. Martin said...

It's times like these I wish I was the king of a small country - so I could offer it up for trade.

Maybe if you get big enough you could trade Danny Wallace for his country, Lovely?

Hey kyle, we already met in a party in laval.Don't worry about the "wanna be" who wants to copy your idea, nobody is going to give in to it!

Anyway, I have an idea that might interest you concerning the house of your dreams. You could approach the vice president of a house project developer and offer him to trade the trip with one of their model and that you would promote their houses via the internet and television After all, you`re already a star!!!

Bonne chance!

Kyle,
Think ahead, man! While the 60 nights lodging sounds great, who would trade UP for that? Where could you go from there. Be thinking a few steps ahead. Enjoy your hiatus.

Hey there Kyle,

It's Shawn, the guy who traded you the camping stove with gas, a steak sandwich and beers for the knob. Dude, this thing is getting out of control!!! I love it!!! I'm just dropping in to say that I'm really glad for you, and that I'm, honored to be one of the few, proud traders that got in on the ground level before you hit super-stardom... don't forget us here at the bottom when you're looking down from the top, man... we love you!!!

If I were u I would take that guest appearance or make sure you trade something really good for it it sounds pretty cool! Good Luck on your Journey!

Take the apple shares! A lot more people would be willing to trade for the shares rather than the junk you have collected so far. You would definitely encounter a different sort of people who will want to trade.

Hey Kyle,

First off...ignore the copy-cat...he could have at least started off with something OTHER than a paperclip, regardless the color.

Second...mebejoe77-craig@yahoo.com is an idiot. If he can't see the fun in what you're doing, he shouldn't log on to your blogs...

Third...I hope George succombs to the pressure and meets you in Yakh to release the spell...My whole family has signed the petition!

I have to agree with the guy who says to take the apple shares...the kind of person who will be interested in trading apple shares will lead you to bigger and better people, maybe one with a house!

Good Luck!

Return airfare to anywhere in North America is a good trade! But then again...Jen's right about the Apple shares. One is fun, the other is a solid gamble.
